End user licence agreement · Version 1.0 · Effective 13 October 2026
pEdit is free. You may use it for anything, personal or commercial, and everything you make with it is yours.
Please don’t sell it, change it or pass on copies. It comes as it is: we do our best, but we can’t promise it’s free of errors, so keep backups of work that matters. Nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer.
1. Who we are and what this is
This agreement is between you and Argado Digital AB (org. no. 559439-2341, Östra Torggatan 15, 652 24 Karlstad, Sweden, oliver@argadodigital.com; “we”, “us”). It covers the pEdit software for macOS and Windows, including the updates we provide (“pEdit”).
By installing or using pEdit, you accept this agreement. If you don’t accept it, don’t install or use pEdit.
2. Your licence
We give you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use pEdit on any number of your own devices, for personal or commercial purposes. pEdit is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights we don’t expressly give you here.
3. What you may not do
You may not:
- sell, rent, lease or sublicense pEdit, or charge for access to it;
- distribute copies of pEdit, changed or unchanged, or present pEdit or a changed version as your own;
- decompile, disassemble or otherwise reverse engineer pEdit, except where the law expressly allows it and that right can’t be limited by contract (for example under the Swedish Copyright Act and EU Directive 2009/24/EC, to make pEdit work with other software);
- remove or change copyright notices, licence notices or the pEdit name and logo;
- use pEdit to break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights.
You’re welcome to share links to pedit.dev and to the official downloads.
4. Your content
Everything you create, edit or export with pEdit belongs to you or your licensors. We claim no rights to it. pEdit processes your images and models only on your device, and we never receive them.
5. Open-source components
pEdit contains open-source components that are licensed to you under their own licences. They’re listed in the app under Help → Open-Source Licenses and on the licenses page. Nothing in this agreement limits the rights those licences give you.
6. Updates
pEdit checks for new versions when it starts, every few hours while it’s open, and when you choose Help → Check for Updates. It shows you what’s new and installs an update only when you click Update. You can turn the automatic checks off with Help → Check for Updates Automatically. The privacy policy describes exactly what a check sends.
Updates may add, change or remove features. We aren’t obliged to provide updates or support.
7. No warranty
pEdit is free and provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes any promise that pEdit suits a particular purpose, is free of errors, runs without interruption or works with your device, or that it will keep your files safe. Keep backups of work that matters to you.
8. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost or corrupted data or files, or damage to your devices that comes from using pEdit or not being able to use it.
This limitation doesn’t apply to:
- loss caused by our intent or gross negligence;
- personal injury;
- liability under product liability law (the Swedish Product Liability Act, 1992:18, and the rules implementing EU Directive 2024/2853);
- any other liability or right that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.
9. Ending the licence
You can stop using pEdit at any time by uninstalling it. Your licence ends automatically if you break this agreement.
We may end the licence, or stop offering pEdit, by announcing it on pedit.dev at least 30 days in advance, unless legal or security reasons make us act sooner. When the licence ends, stop using pEdit and delete it. Your content stays yours, and sections 4, 7, 8, 11 and 12 still apply.
10. Changes to this agreement
We may update this agreement. We’ll publish the new version on this page with a new date and, for significant changes, mention it in the update notes in the app. Changes don’t apply to the past. If you don’t accept a change, stop using pEdit. Using pEdit after a change takes effect means you accept it.
11. Law and disputes
Swedish law applies to this agreement, without its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are settled by the Swedish general courts, with Värmlands tingsrätt (the district court in Karlstad) as the first instance.
If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may also go to court there.
Consumers in Sweden can also turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes, Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, arn.se. We take part in ARN’s proceedings.
12. Language
This agreement is available in English and Swedish. If the two differ, the Swedish version applies.
